Mongrana 2015 – Along with their estate in Greve in Chianti, Querciabella also owns vineyards in Maremma in western Tuscany, near the Tyrrhenian Sea. (…) Offering good acidity and nicely integrated wood notes, along with very good persistence, this is approachable now and will drink well for another 5-7 years. Excellent
Turpino 2015 – Also from the vineyards in Maremma, (…) this was aged in barriques, so the wine has a touch of modernity, yet this still has notable Tuscan style. This is a rich, densely packed wine that needs some time to show its finest qualities. Best in 7-10 years. Excellent
Chianti Classico 2015 – (…) To me this is a textbook Chianti Classico, as it has everything you would want in this type of wine; better still it is styled as wine to be drunk, and not a wine of power that needs time to soften. Enjoy this over the next 5-7 years. Outstanding
Camartina 2010 – (…) Medium-full with excellent concentration, this is densely packed with big tannins and a powerful finish. This needs several years to settle down. Peak drinking in 12-15 years.
