What a Wine!

The 2021 Gran Selezione Radda is a dark, powerful expression of Sangiovese, shaped by one of Querciabella’s most distinctive vineyards. Established in 2007 as the estate’s first acquisition outside Greve, Radda marked Querciabella’s first experiment in single-origin Sangiovese, laying the foundation for the Genius Loci project—a meticulous exploration of each vineyard’s character.

Bagnaccio, Oasi, and Rialdoli, nestled between 400 and 450 metres above sea level on galestro-rich, rocky soils, benefit from a cooler climate, steady ventilation, and slow, even ripening that concentrates flavours while preserving freshness and vibrancy. Structured, precise, and intensely expressive, the wine offers dark red fruit and subtle floral notes, with persistent tannins and vibrant acidity. Radda embodies tension, depth, and refinement—a Sangiovese that reveals its layers gradually and rewards patience in the glass and cellar.
