The Brillant 2021s and the Linear 2020s

Querciabella’s wines earn high praise from Antonio Galloni for their impressive energy and refined texture that consistently exceed expectations.

In his latest report on Vinous Media, Antonio Galloni has expressed all his respect for Chianti Classico. He notes that the appellation’s quality has improved significantly over time, with numerous vineyards now producing exceptional wines in a broad range of styles.

With regards to Querciabella, Galloni highlights the unique characteristics of the 2021 and 2020 vintages. He describes the 2021s as particularly intriguing, thanks to their dynamic energy and textural finesse. In contrast, the 2020s are more linear in overall feel.

Querciabella’s Sangiovese is a promise of Greatness

Galloni has a strong admiration for the exceptional work that has been done with the Sangiovese grape and has been a supporter of Querciabella’s Single-village project since it started in 2010. With the introduction of the Gran Selezione category and the UGA, we now have the chance to label our top Chianti Classico wines with their origin, which our owner, Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni, has been advocating since 2012. Stay tuned for further updates!
